Susan Atkins Should Die in Prison
Manson Family member and convicted murderer Susan Atkins was denied release from a California prison today. She’s dying of brain cancer and her family asked for her release.
This is the woman who stabbed pregnant actress Sharon Tate to death because she “kept pleading and begging” for the life of her unborn child. This is the woman who didn’t apologize until years later, and then only during a parole hearing.
She was originally sentenced to death, which was subsequently commuted to life in prison. Now, apparently, we are to let her out so she doesn’t die there? Does that really make sense to anyone? Does “life in prison” mean “in prison until you become so sick that you might die in prison?” What about all the seemingy healthy people who do actually die in prison whether that was their sentence or not?
Kudos to the California prison system for meaning what it says. I have to admit, I didn’t think they had it in them.

As far as I’m concerned “Life In Prison” MEANS “DEATH in prison.” Why should we show her mercy when she didn’t have any mercy in her when she was stabbing a pregnant Sharon Tate? I too am surprised California had the marbles to uphold their ruling.
